Florida International University was greatly represented at NATPE 2017 conference here is Miami this past January. NATPE stands for National Association of Television Program Executives and is one of the largest international programming conferences in the world, attracting everyone from acquisition executives looking to buy or invest in new programs to production companies and programming content distributors. Several FIU students attended the conference and networked with the top content producers and executives in the industry, around 12 served as interns during the conference and 3 were even selected for a live panel discussing how Millennials and Gen Zers are disrupting the way content is being consumed through digital devices. The “Millennial Panel: Come Meet your audience” was moderated by respected author and researcher, Jason Dorsey. Students in the panel were Gabriella Mutti, Gabriela Rosario and Jessica Mendez.
