Daniela Romero is a Designer in Urban Robot Associates, a design firm in Miami Beach, where she continues growing professionally with a multidisciplinary approach towards the built of our city. Daniela is a trained architect and landscape and urban designer. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture in Bogota, Colombia, but her love for Miami and its uniqueness motivated her to continue her professional and personal development in the city. After graduating from Florida International University with her Master’s in Landscape Architecture (MLA), she has been actively involved as a volunteer for Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, where she educates about the importance of native habitats.
As the Miami Section Chair for the ASLA Florida Chapter, Daniela has being an advocate of the profession and a leader in the City. She has organized events that not only integrates the landscape architects and designers in fun and social activities, but she had open spaces for discussions towards important topics in Miami, such as sea level rise, climate change and planning of the community. Daniela brings a young and fresh vision to the chapter by leading a team of members in the growing and exciting Miami. Her aspirations as Miami Section Chair includes more collaboration with other chapters in the region, mixers with Young Professional Committees, serving in the community and striving for professional excellence.
