On Monday, November 20, 2017, faculty member Darci Pappano took her graduate interior architecture students to Daltile Keys Granite Design Studio for a grand tour.

Instructor Pappano and her students were greeted by Manager Rocio Gutiérrez and sales consultant and FIU interior alumni, Monica Pego. The students then participated in a guided tour that showcased the Daltile showroom and stone yard.

Firm tours and site visits are part of interior architecture’s curriculum of its “Materials” graduate course. The graduate program offers these out-of-classroom field trips to promote a more dynamic, interactive initiative for students to learn.
