Masters candidate of interior architecture, Mikhail Kevin Orosz, spent the last 6 months interning for world renowned, architecture, landscape architecture, interior design corporation – Arquitectonica.

As an intern under the interior design branch, Orosz was able to participate in several design projects. One of these design opportunities was aiding in the creation of FIU’s new, off-campus student housing, “University Bridge Residences”.

With the rapidly growing FIU student body, “University Bridge” is set to meet the high demand of student housing. The project will provide affordable and modern, furnished condos for student and faculty right across FIU’s MMC campus. It will be directly connected to FIU via an $11 million publicly-funded pedestrian bridge which will provide a safe and secure commute to class.

Orosz had the pleasure of working on the design team that created the lobby, common lounge area, and rooftop space within the condo.

“I designed the ceiling and lobby back wall condition, which is being implemented into the space,” Orosz explained, “My work is soon going to become a reality! Hopefully, its one of many in my future.”

The 492 condo building will also include state of the art appliances, amenities and retail space and is expected to be completed by 2020.
