This weekend FIU Theatre Alums Melissa Almaguer and Ivan R. Lopez (who is also a current Theatre Adjunct Faculty member) are presenting the second edition of White Rose Miami‘s “Miami Time” series – short plays, musical performances, and stand-up comedy all dedicated to the Magic City.
White Rose Miami’s short play festival that celebrates their hometown, Miami, is back!
First produced in February 2013 with the support and generosity of many of South Florida’s finest artists and with the infectious cheer of Miami audiences, the second edition is expanding with musical performances and stand up comedy – all celebrating the city we call home.
You’ll see many familiar faces as well as get to know new ones. White Rose Miami’s Creative Directors Melissa Almaguer and Ivan R. Lopez will be joined by some of South Florida’s most talented artists. The evening will feature performances by New Theatre Artistic Director Ricky J. Martinez; O, Miami executive director P. Scott Cunningham; and Miami’s own Bonzi Chillups. Playwright Renier J. Murillo returns with MIA:Westchester 2.
