The Department of Theatre Announces its 2014-2015 Main Stage Season.  It will be an exciting season filled with laughter, drama, the search for love and music.

The first play will be An Ideal Husband, by Oscar Wilde.  A delightful commentary on late 19th century British social behavior, spiced up by Wilde’s wry wit.

The second play will be Juanita’s Statue, by Anne Garcia-Romero.  This play is a modern female take on the classical Don Juan story and the age old yearning to find true love.

The third play will be a new adaptation by Steve Moulds of Luigi Pirandello’s Six Characters in Search of Author, the play that brought Pirandello world-wide fame.  This new look heightens the comic contrast between melodrama and contemporary skepticism while asking the audience to consider just what we believe is real.

And the last play of the season will be a musical called The Wild Party, with book, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa.  It takes place in a Manhattan apartment, during a party to end all parties.  Various characters’ darker sides come out and acts of love, jealousy and violence ensue.
