FIU Theatre’s Alternative Theatre Festival 2014 Plays Announced

FIU Theatre is pleased to announce the plays to be included in this year’s edition of its summer

 Alternative Theatre Festival.

The first show will be Gizmo Love, written by John Kolvenbach and directed by Wilfredo Cabrera.

This is a dark comedy about the vicious world of Hollywood.  It encompasses the guileless, the ruthless and the reckless.

 

The second show is this year’s New Play Development Project winner, titled Catherine’s Wheel, written by Juan C. Sanchez

and will be directed by Michael Yawney.

What the living don’t know, the dead can teach.

Show Dates: July 10, 11, 12 & July 17,18, 19

 

The final show of the festival is  Play On. It was written by Rick Abbot and will be directed by Marina Pareja.

The hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from an arrogant author who keeps revising the script.

Show Dates: July 24, 25, 26 & July 31, August 1, 2

All shows begin at 8:00pm

Tickets available at the door – $10, cash or check only (no advance sales, no credit cards)
