FIU’s Department of Theatre is accepting applications from students, past and present, who would like to be considered for a directing slot for this coming summer’s installment of the Alternative Theatre Festival (ATF). Applicants should ideally have taken Directing II or have excelled in Directing I and have some directing experience. Directing proposals are open to both present and past Theatre majors, as will be the auditions.
Once decided, production manager for this year’s ATF Marina Pareja, will post the announcement regarding auditions for the summer shows, as well as rehearsal schedules and production meetings.

The performance dates, while subject to change, are currently as follows:
- 1st show: Preview June 26, Performances June 27-29 and July 4-6
- 2nd show: Preview July 10, Performances July 11-13 and July 18-20
- 3rd show: Preview July 24, Performances July 25-27 and August 1-3
The first slot will be the student directed show slot. All shows will be performed in the Black Box Theatre.
