Meet This Year’s Torch Award Honoree Marlene Liriano ’89, Interior Architecture

Marlene M. Liriano, IIDA, LEED AP, is Vice President and Director of Interior Design for HOK’s Florida practice. For nearly three decades, Marlene has successfully delivered innovative and thoughtful design solutions that exceed her client’s expectations. Her approach is built on advancing the business goals of her clients, supporting the organization’s culture and maximizing their productivity. Her work has perpetuated a tradition of insight, cultivated a spirit of team collaboration and promoted thought leadership resulting in multiple design awards, publications and numerous long-term client accounts.

Marlene has designed and delivered successful projects for Fortune 500 Companies such as HBO Latin America, Perry Ellis International, Microsoft and American Airlines.

A Miami native, Marlene’s professional memberships include the International Interior Design Association, Commercial Real Estate Women and the Society of American Registered Architects. In 2006, the Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects honored her with the Interior Designer of the Year Award for her excellence in leadership and notable architecture and interior design.

Marlene lives in Miami with her husband Victor and their two children: Brianne, a recent graduate of FIU, and Brian.
