You are cordially welcomed to join us at the 27th annual Festival of the Trees, one of the most anticipated and celebrated traditions in Miami’s design and cultural community. The opening reception is Thursday, November 21st from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at the Coral Gables Museum, located at 285 Aragon Avenue. The reception will be attended by some of Miami’s most well-known figures in the real estate, arts, architecture, and design communities, as well as representatives from the media, Miami-Dade government and FIU students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The Department of Interior Architecture’s annual Festival of the Trees fundraiser event has become a South Florida tradition, marking the start of the holiday season for over 27 years.  Since its inception, the Festival has united the region’s premier design professionals in this celebration of holiday season’s shapes, colors, light and poetry. Celebrating “Design Connections,” this year’s event showcases the unique creativity of the community by engaging local, national and international designers in the design of holiday trees made from every imaginable material.  Sponsors of this event underwrite designers/artists/tree creators who design and build their unique holiday creations and donate them to the event. The trees are displayed and auctioned at the gala opening held at Coral Gables. The lucky winning bidders get to keep these extraordinary pieces as holiday decorations in their homes or offices.

Net proceeds from the Festival of the Trees will go towards FIU’s Interior Architecture Department, and help talented students pursue a quality education at FIU’s College of Architecture + The Arts.
