CARTA’s Global Strategic Communications (GSC) master’s program ranked #7 on the 2019 list of Top 15 online Media Communication programs by OnlineMasters.com– a source for unbiased college rankings and higher education planning.
“We are very proud of this national recognition,” said Aileen Izquierdo, communication department interim chair and GSC director. “Our fully online program is nearing its fifth anniversary and in these short, few years, we have grown our student enrollment, expanded course offerings and graduated dozens of communication professionals, who will continue to elevate the communication industry.”
Additional recognitions included, “Most Accelerated,” noting the entire program can be completed in 12 months. The GSC program also ranked #27 on the list of Top 40 online Master’s in Communication programs and earned “Best Certification and Degree Combination”- a special nod to the conflict resolution certificate, one of three GSC specializations.
“Students can earn both a graduate certification in conflict resolution and a master’s in communication degree to improve their resume and to increase their opportunities for career advancement,” noted the ranking board.
The Conflict Resolution and Consensus Building graduate certificate enables students to obtain an interdisciplinary concentration in the study of conflict resolution – in partnership with the FIU Center for Labor Research & Studies. This option provides students with the skills necessary to effectively communicate, operate, and manage complex communication conflicts within the global market.
