The Ware Foundation recently made a $100,000 commitment to the FIU College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts (CARTA), School of Communication + Journalism (SCJ) to support the Eyes on Your Mission Academy (EOYMA). This 18-month program between CARTA, Two Parrot Productions, and Miami Northwestern Senor High School will enable high school students in Liberty City to produces social engagement videos and user-friendly digital content for non-profits.
During the Eyes on Your Mission Academy students will be financially supported, trained, and mentored to create high-quality promotional videos for local social justice organizations. FIU SCJ students will gain valuable experience through this initiative, working with real clients to produce professional content and expanding the boundaries of their college experience through true community engagement. The Eyes on Your Mission Academy contributes to the Ware Foundation’s mission of ensuring educational opportunities are available to all.
