FIU Student Usman Waseem Peguero performed the Symphonie Espagnole by E.Lalo with the Dominican National Youth Orchestra in SantoDomingo, Dominican Republic on April 7, 2013.
Founding president and artistic director of the youth orchestra, Darwin Aquino, announced that “Usman did a terrific job in the interpretation of Symphonie Espagnole, while creating beautiful sound and solid technique. The concert was a great success and everybody is talking about him here! It was very easy to acompany him, as his musical ideas are always clear and well constructed.”
Usman was also the recipient of the FIU School of Music Performance Award at the Undergraduate Level this year.
