In its fourth year, the Miami International GuitART Festival (MIGF), organized by FIU faculty guitar member Mesut Ozgen, continues to bring world-class guitarists to the School of Music at Florida International University for a full week of concerts and activities this February 19 – 24. FIU students had the opportunity to perform in open masterclasses and ask questions in an interactive setting to learn about topics ranging from overcoming stage anxiety to guitar technique. This year, the festival grew to include two outreach visits to Miami schools, encouraging young children to engage with music.
