Congratulations to all of the graduate students who completed their Spring 2014 semester at the Miami Beach Urban Studios!

On Thursday, April 17th, Miami Beach Urban Studios threw a celebratory party for the 60+ students who have studied and worked so hard out here on Miami Beach. After a semester of taking studios and classes, the students presented their projects to their classmates and professors. As soon as they were finished, they came out to the small gallery to talk, laugh, and reflect over the past year with their peers. John Stuart, Director of Miami Beach Urban Studios, gave a small speech to thank everyone for their participation in growing and feeding the amazing collaborative space that is MBUS!

At 7:30, the FIU Amernet String Quartet began their program of Haydn, Bartok, and Fuerst in the main gallery, which was attended by well over 70 guests. The concert was specifically designed to showcase three incredibly talented but diverse musical styles – which was a beautiful moment for everyone to take a second and look back on all that has been accomplished in the last year.

All in all, it was an incredible evening to celebrate the accomplishments of design, music, culture and engagement for all of us who are linked to the Miami Beach Urban Studios.

Thank you to everyone involved!
