STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Charlotte Raynaud, Senior Special Events Manager, School of Architecture

Born in Panama of Bolivian and French decent raised in Miami, Charlotte is the Senior Special Events Manager at the School of Architecture at FIU. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and has been in the events industry managing high-end catering events for 10 years, within multiple venues and cultural institutions Nationwide.  A few of those include, The Perez Art Museum of Miami (PAMM), Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science; the National Gallery of Art in DC; The Barnes, The Horticulture Center and the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia.

Where is your hometown? Miami, FL

When did you start work at FIU?  In September 2018.

What is the favorite part of your job? My favorite part about being an event manager is creating an unforgettable celebration for the guests.

What is something you learned working with at Interior Architecture Department? Percision and attention to detail is a key component to an interior architect’s eye. I learned and keep on learning the graphic design programs.

If you would like to go back to school in and do a major, what would you choose? Medicine

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this? Nutritionist and Health Physician

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why? Paris,France; The amount of history in each strret, building and monuments – amongst the all delicious food!

Favorite eating spot in Miami: Bulla

Do you have any advice to new students coming in to Interior Architecture? Have fun, keep your eye on new and past trends. Percisonn and attention to detail is key!
