Two of our students from the Landscape Architecture department, Jose Alvarez and Chris Cabezas were inducted to the prestigious Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society.

This honor society intends to stimulate and reward students with high academic standing enrolled in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture or the allied arts of design.  Candidates must have an average 3.0 GPA and have completed two and one half academic years of the initial degree program, and have concluded major prerequisites.

Tau Sigma Delta major aim is to develop high ideals in architectural education and improve and collaborate with the profession. Colleges and Universities whose college of architecture are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board are authorized to have institutional chapters. FIU is one the universities accredited and organized its Sigma XI chapter back in 2003.

The Initiation ceremony to recognize and welcome new members was held on January 18th at the Miami Beach Urban Studios.
