appoints Nathalie Desrayaud, PhD
2017 Research Fellow In Residence
Nathalie Desrayaud, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication in the School of Communication and Journalism at Florida International University. She earned her MA in Communication from the University at Buffalo, NY, and her PhD in Organizational Communication from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
Dr. Desrayaud’s primary research interest centers on perceptions and interpretations of conflict in both personal and professional relationships. Specifically she studies how organizations develop norms and expectations for how conflict ought to be managed. She also studies issues of sex, gender, and culture. She has taught a variety of courses at FIU including organizational communication, gender and communication, and her newly created course: interviewing – principles and practices.
