Interior Architecture adjunct faculty member Kemo Duddle (Kemo Design International) and Sir Alan Duddle (international marketing/design professional and consultant) recently attended Sir Cliff Richard’s 75th birthday celebration in London, where he dined with a star-studded repertoire of celebrities and important figures.

At the event, which had 6,000-plus guests, British musician, performer, and philanthropist Sir Cliff Richard performed and lauded and thanked his fans. During the concert, Kemo Duddle and Sir Alan Duddle shared a box with lyricist and author Sir Tim Rice, who is best known for writing the lyrics for successful musicals like The Phantom of the OperaEvita, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Sir Tim Rice’s box also included Queen guitarist Brian May.

After the concert by Sir Cliff Richard, the Duddles attended a private reception for the event, where they sat with Olivia Newton-John, Dame Shirley Bassey, and Bonnie Tyler.

During this same trip to London, Kemo Duddle met with his dear friend Tim Gosling, a prominent British furniture designer and interior designer who was the head designer for David Linley Furniture and who received the acclaimed International Design and Architecture Award for 2015. Duddle received the first copy of Gosling’s new book Classic Contemporary: The DNA of Furniture Design, which is being serialized on BBC. Kemo Design International, which was founded by Duddle, is currently working closely with Gosling.
