FIU Interior Architecture student Paulina Cáceres was recognized at the 2025 Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI) Exposition with the Cruise Ship Interiors Scholarship from NEWH, Inc., sponsored by Cruise Ship Interiors. This competitive scholarship celebrates emerging talent in hospitality and cruise ship design, supporting students who demonstrate exceptional creativity, dedication, and vision for the industry’s future.

Reflecting on the honor, Cáceres shared, “This recognition means the world to me, not only as a student but as an aspiring interior architect passionate about cruise ship interiors and hospitality design. A heartfelt thank you to NEWH, CSI, and the amazing Erika Swansen and Cindy Guthrie for their support of emerging designers like me. I’m also so grateful to my professors at FIU for their constant guidance and encouragement.”
Congratulations Paulina

The CSI Exposition also provided an exciting learning opportunity for incoming Cruise Ship + Superyacht (CSSY) students, who attended the event with Professor Natalie Molina, MI.Arch, NCIDQ. Students connected with industry professionals, including My Nguyen of @hollandamericagroup, who shared her passion and inspiring career path in design.

Through recognitions like these and experiences that connect students directly with leaders in the field, FIU’s Interior Architecture program continues to prepare graduates to make their mark on the global hospitality and cruise ship design industries.
