On January 27th, Citimarine Yachts welcomed FIU students from the department of interior architecture for an exclusive tour of their popular Numarine 60′ and 78′ yachts. Citimarine representative, Manuel Alvarez, greeted 12 students and cruise design instructor, Professor Darci Pappano, for a nautical afternoon of extracurricular activities.
The first part of the tour kicked off with a brief history on Citimarine Yachts and how CEO, Javier Ripoll Jr., founded the company back in 2009. The next part of the tour was a walk-through of the Numarine 60” and 78” yacht models, highlighting the yachts’ sleek, unique interior designs and architecture.
This yacht tour also served as a precursor to what these students will encounter in their study abroad semester to Genoa, Italy this summer.
Collaborations with local industry professionals like Citimarine Yachts, offer our students a unique hands on experience to expand their design mindset and enrich their knowledge in building strategies.
