FIU Communication + Journalism students, Victoria Gonzalez, Mayelin Jimenez, Dan Leiferman, Luisa Peixoto and Alesandra Velasquez came together to create The Hours, a site dedicated to helping readers navigate the upcoming 2020 election.
“Our team is made up of five Florida International University students, dedicated to providing the best, unbiased content to make sure you are 100 percent ready for the 2020 elections,” said The Hours creators.
The Hours offers a complete list of the 2020 Republican and Democratic candidates with a brief description to help students learn about each candidate more effectively. It also provides resources to help users conduct their own candidate research and learn more about elections and media literacy.
Users can also find current news on politics, updated candidate information and a step-by-step guide on how to register to vote and how to change voter registration information.
