Digital burnout is a real issue, and future creative leaders are taking action. Students from the FIU GSC-Creative Track, a graduate joint program with Miami Ad School, recently joined forces with peers from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona for a high-impact COIL project. With two COILs in the same program this semester, our reach is truly global!

Guided by lecturers Albena Petrus from FIU and Alexander Garcia and Tony Rodriguez from UAB, international teams spent four weeks exploring data and creative strategies to develop a campaign for the FIU Student Health and Wellness, led by Todd Lengnick. Their goal was to design a low-budget campaign using existing university resources to educate peers about the risks of digital fatigue, how to recognize it, and how to promote balance in a constantly connected world.

For inspiration, Bruno Bomediano, SVP GCD at Area 23, gave a motivating talk on health campaigns and their impact. This collaboration led to really creative projects that addressed the awareness challenge and helped solve it, and showed that these students are ready to take on modern communication. You can see their innovative work on the official project website.

If you want more information about the project or are interested in collaborating, please reach out to Albena Petrus or Alexander Garcia.
