Communication Arts senior, Dominique Ehrl, will be packing her bags for the semester to take on an incredible opportunity to intern with NBC Universal in New York City, ranked top ten best internship companies in the US. As part of the Integrated Marketing Team at USA Network, Ehrl will begin preparing for the sales during the 2016 upfront season. She will gain valuable experience working with several departments at NBC Universal including production, creative, programming, on-air, digital and consumer marketing teams to create client marketing materials based on new programming opportunities.

“My favorite perk from the internship is that I get to work at the Rockefeller Center, where I can meet actors, read scripts before the shows are produced, and watch pilots of shows before they are aired! It is even more exciting to see the brands I worked with air in the show,” says Ehrl.

Ehrl’s main responsibility will be working with the team in charge of the integrating of brands into shows airing on the USA Network; whether that be directly showcased in the show or during commercial breaks. Her responsibilities include: organizing creative briefs and production timelines, building client decks in response to RFPs, recapping 360-marketing campaigns, contributing to client partnership brainstorms and researching relevant industry news articles to the greater marketing team.

This is not the first network experience for Ehrl, having completed a number of impressive internships over the past year. She previously finished an internship with Univision Communication Inc. in Miami, FL. She worked in the Innovation Marketing Department as a Production Assistant for commercials, working on many different projects implementing brands such as Goldfish, Revlon, Lincoln and Dr. Pepper into the Univision broadcast. She also received tremendous opportunities to work one-on-one with producers in editing scripts, translations, brain storming for client proposals and creating production books.
