Communication Arts senior, Whitney Ranger was nominated and chosen as a finalist in FIU’s Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) competition.  At the event, student finalists walked the runway to model their professional attire and Whitney rocked her look! She was nominated for her continued commitment to the CommArts Studio, where she has worked 20 hours per week for the past two years. At the Studio, she serves hundreds of students each week and assists the communication coordinators and the Assistant Director in the daily operations.  In addition, she has emerged as the senior student staff member and this year, she took over the orientation and training of all of the student employees. Throughout her two-year tenure in the Studio, Whitney has created many of the policies and procedures that are now in place, and which are responsible for the efficient and smooth functioning of the Studio. She was instrumental in the success of the recent Communication Carnival event and many other student and departmental functions. Unfortunately, Whitney will be graduating in May.  However, her legacy will live on in the improvements she made during her time here at FIU.
