The Voices of Change Speak-Off is nearing!
The Communication Arts Department is holding auditions for its traditional Speak-Off that will take place on Friday, March 22nd, 2013. In order to audition for this campus-wide competition, interested students must prepare a 4 to 6 minute speech pertaining to the event’s theme, Voices of Change. The speech should focus on a global communicator or communication event that inspires change.
A video of your speech must be recorded in the Practice Room of the CommArts Studio (located in VH 230 or ACI 210) and submitted to the Communication Coordinator in the Studio. No appointment is necessary. Deadline for submission of the video application is Friday, February 22 by 2pm. Speeches over six minutes will not be accepted.
The selection committee will notify the six semi-finalists by March 1st. After the Speak-Off event, three students will be chosen to deliver their speeches at the Communication Arts Forum in April.
