For the third year in a row, BOLD hosted its signature spring event, COM CON – a communication conference where BOLD members and FIU students hear from professionals in the communication industry speak about their careers. BOLD members are given the opportunity to listen to these professionals and engage in Q&A sessions after each speaker.

Speakers at this year’s COM CON panel included the following professionals:

  • Andrew Goldberg
Since 2007, Goldberg has served as the Vice President of Marketing at the Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. He oversees all marketing, communication, and ticket sales for the Center. Recipient of multiple awards, Goldberg received the 2018 American Marketing Association Nonprofit Marketer of the Year award.
  • Daisy Olivera
Journalist and society influencer, Olivera has written for dozens of magazines and newspapers, including The Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, Avenue Magazine, and HOLA USA. Additionally, she has established herself as a veteran television news anchor – having served over 25 years in the industry. Olivera also created her luxury lifestyle website, TheDaisyColumn.com.
  • Alex Aguiar
Starting his career as a Senior Editor with Channel 7’s television show, “Deco Drive”, Aguiar is a 4-time Emmy Winner and Creative Producer for Telemundo’s current morning show, “Un Nuevo Dia”. Aguiar has also founded his own production company, AJA Creative Media, as well as started his own lifestyle podcast, “Pod With Me”.
  • Grizelle De Los Reyes
