The FIU community is surrounded by an environment focused on the arts, design, and intercultural communication. The Communication Arts Department has a flexible, multidisciplinary program that prepares students to be successful in such a setting.

The Communication Arts Bachelor’s degree will prepare students to craft and deliver the right message for the right audience. The Department’s curriculum is based on a multi-disciplinary approach focused on the areas of arts, design, and interpersonal communication.

Successful communicators require a worldview, not blinders. Whether your goal is to wield influence in the boardroom, take your place on the world stage, calm a crisis, or inspire change, we will give you the expertise and confidence to succeed.

The core requirement for the degree is comprised of 30 credits. These classes provide students with a solid foundation in communication studies, which allows them to specialize in an area of study.
