Six students from the Department of Art + Art History at the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA) are currently headlining an art exhibition at the Graham Center Student Art Gallery that debuted Friday, June 1, 2018.
The exhibit, entitled Re-Vision, features landscape photography and portraiture taken by graduate and undergraduate students in the fine arts program specializing in photography. The students’ work will be on display through June 30.
Re-Vision is a collection of artwork that explores the culture, history, and memory of South Florida. Different landscapes, territories and faces of the artists’ hometown are captured to create a reflection of themselves and their own personal connections.
The artists exhibiting include German Ruiz, Alex Del Canto, Santiago Villalon, Yilun Chen, Cesar Castillo and Johanna Altamirano.
The Graham Center Student Art Gallery is located Florida International University’s Modesto Maidique Campus and showcases artwork from students, faculty, alumni and the local community.
