The Pages & Spreads Miami Zine Fair will occur tomorrow, Saturday, April 19th. The event is co-founded and organized by College of Architecture + The Arts alumnus Augusto Mendoza (BFA ’10), and includes a performance piece by the Department of Art + Art History’s Peggy Levison Nolan, Adjunct Faculty called “Cooking in Chaos.”
The Pages & Spreads Miami Zine Fair is “a meeting place for bookmakers, artists, designers, and collectors to meet and share printed matter,” as said by Mendoza, who organizes the event through his publishing and graphic design organization Books Are Nice. He said, “I hope people find some new ideas in books they have never seen. Also, [I hope to] give people a chance to see local artists still working in the book form.”
