Florida International University’s Miami Beach Urban Studio is hosting a photography exhibit entitled ‘There & Then’, beginning this Thursday, January 12th. The exhibit will display work by two Master in Fine Arts candidates, Jose Garcia and German Ruiz.
‘There & Then’ serves as a dual photographic perspective that explores the connection between place and memory; a re-examination of their environments and of their past. Both photographers drawing inspiration from the time and personal narratives, creating an array of cathartic images that delve deep into their personal life.
The exhibition will showcase different art mediums, handpicked by Belaxis Buil, including portraits, nocturnal landscapes and painted residential structures. Opening reception will be held on January 12th at 7:00 PM at MBUS.
