Celebrating CARTA Spring 2026 Graduates

With the Spring 2026 commencement season now complete, the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts (CARTA) proudly reflects on the achievements of a remarkable group of graduates whose creativity, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact across the college. 

This semester’s Road to Commencement series highlighted students from across CARTA’s diverse disciplines, each representing the passion and innovation that define the graduating class.

Among them was Samantha Garces, who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. As Vice President of the IAD International Art & Design Club, Samantha combined artistic talent with leadership, helping foster community and collaboration among fellow students while leaving her mark through thoughtful and creative design.

Max Torres, a Master of Architecture graduate, spent his academic journey designing with purpose and pushing creative boundaries. His work reflected a strong commitment to shaping the built environment and creating spaces that positively impact communities and the future of architecture.

In the performing arts, Isabella Burgos graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Her dedication to performance, discipline, and artistic expression allowed her to shine both on stage and in the classroom, bringing passion and authenticity to every role she took on.

Gabryella Raymond, a Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communications major with a minor in General Marketing, built her path through creativity, strategy, and storytelling. As President of the FIU Honors College Fashion Club, she used her communication skills to combine her passion for branding, leadership, and community building, reflecting the importance of strong messaging and meaningful connections in today’s evolving media landscape.

And finally, Valentina Gaspari, a Digital Communication and Media/Broadcasting graduate whose work demonstrated the power of storytelling through media. Throughout her academic journey, she covered major events such as Copa América 2024 and Election Day, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of journalism. Her internship at WSVN 7 News further strengthened her passion for broadcasting and storytelling, while her creativity and commitment to communication allowed her to inform, connect, and inspire both inside and outside the classroom.

Together, these graduates represent the excellence, resilience, and innovation of CARTA’s Spring 2026 graduating class. As they crossed the commencement stage and stepped into their next chapters, their achievements stood as a reflection of the bright future ahead, not only for themselves, but for the industries and communities they will go on to shape.
