From November 6th to 17th, the Miami Beach Urban Studios (MBUS) and the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts (CARTA) will host On The Fringes, the BFA exhibition of the graduating class of artists at Florida International University.
On The Fringes is a free exhibition open to the public, with an opening reception on November 9th at 7PM. The artists work in a wide variety of mediums, including digital media. For example, Ernesto Gonzalez explores the art of creating a video game from scratch.
Of his work, Gonzalez says, “I find the idea of an experience in both visuals and sound to be another extremely important part of my work. I really want the player/audience to be completely immersed in a world I’ve crafted.”
This show features several photographers who focus on family and kinship. Deborah Alley explores the memories of age and the essence of male-female intimacy as it relates to the changes observed in a vulnerable yet inevitable time of life.
Exhibition is being sponsored by Artfinder, who are generously hosting the opening reception and the printing of the catalog.
