On Thursday, April 24th, the Department of Architecture marked the end of another successful academic year with its annual awards ceremony, held in PCA 135. The event brought together students, faculty, staff, and families to celebrate the accomplishments and dedication within the school. The atmosphere was filled with pride and excitement as recipients were recognized for their excellence in design, leadership, and academic performance. Applause and cheers echoed through the space as each honoree was announced, reflecting the supportive and vibrant community within the department.

This year’s ceremony spotlighted a number of prestigious awards. The AIA Miami Student of the Year recognized a student who demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to the profession. The AIA Florida Bronze Medal and the AIA Academic Excellence Medal honored top-performing students for their academic achievements and design innovation. The Alpha Rho Chi Bronze Medal was presented to a graduating student who demonstrated leadership, service, and promise of professional merit. The event also featured the 2025 Super Jury Award, celebrating outstanding final-year design work as selected by a panel of guest jurors. Each award served as a testament to the talent, hard work, and bright future of the department’s students.

Congratulations to all the award recipients, and thank you to everyone who helped make the ceremony a success. We look forward to what the next academic year will bring.
