The FIU Department of Architecture hosts its annual Master’s Project Reviews at the conclusion of each spring semester. This year, the juries were held on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Miami Beach Urban Studios (MBUS).

In their final year, graduate students prepare a cumulative project assigned by their studio professor on a variety of design topics ranging from urban development to sea-level rise. During the master’s final reviews, the students receive the opportunity to present an assigned jury consisting of departmental faculty and invited industry professionals from different universities and architecture firms.

Once the reviews are completed, the jurors cast votes for the top two projects from each design studio. This year, fourteen students received awards based on design excellence and best overall presentations. One student, Celine Mahzar, was selected as the Super Jury winner.
