Robert Chambers to Unveil “Rotorelief” in Bal Harbour Village

Award-winning sculptor and FIU Art + Art History Visiting Assistant Professor Robert Chambers, will be part of a public art unveiling of his sculpture, “Rotorelief” in Bal Harbour Village on January 26, 2018.

The fully-functioning helicopter sculpture, is on loan from the Cricket Taplin Art Collection. The sculpture, composed of fiber glass, stainless steel and aluminum, features rotating discs that reference Marcel Duchamp’s Anemic Cinema film.

Located on Bal Harbour Village’s Founder’s Circle, the piece is part of the City of Bal Harbour’s public art program and initiative, Unscripted.

“Rotorelief” will be on view until November 2018 in memory of the late Martin Taplin, world-renowned art collector and hospitality maven.
